Corn

Corn is a crop planted from “seeds of corn” among other seeds. A group began “to till the ground” with corn, wheat, barley, neas, sheum, and seeds of fruits (Mosiah 9:9).

People paid the king of the Lamanites tribute amounting to “one half of our corn,” with barley, other grain, and increases of flocks and herds (Mosiah 7:22). A host of Lamanites took “the corn of their fields” while people were tilling their lands (Mosiah 9:14).
