Jerusalem Prophets

In the first year of Zedekiah's reign, numerous prophets arose in Jerusalem, delivering messages of repentance to the people and forewarning of the impending destruction of the city should they fail to heed. Among them, Lehi, a resident of Jerusalem, received his prophetic mission, joining a chorus of divine voices urging transformation and spiritual renewal (1 Nephi 1:4). These prophets represented the critical juncture at which divine intercession sought to avert disaster through repentance.

Predominantly unnamed, the Jerusalem prophets left a significant yet shadowy imprint on the biblical narrative. Though their individual stories and fates remain unrecorded, their collective message served as a crucial testament to the impending divine retribution tied to Jerusalem's moral decay. Together, they embodied the recurring theme of warning and admonition pervasive in the scriptural discourse.
